We will be using three primary resources. We will use the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Federal Requirements) to navigate and search for PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) requirements. We will use the https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/ State of California Department of Industrial Relations - since this is a California based course. We will use a short safety videos from You Tube that ilustrates the safe operation of PIT.
This textbook was created for Austin Community College's Biotechnology Program online course: Quality Assurance for the Biosciences, BITC1340. The 10-chapter activity eBook covers quality assurance topics ranging from the history of quality and regulations in the US, an overview of the FDA and its structure and function, and the approval process for a variety of biotechnology products such as food, drugs, and medical devices. Throughout the eBook are exploratory activities, videos, and case studies.

Published in 1986, this Kennedy School case tells the story of Harley-Davidson's application to the ITC for temporary relief from high levels of imported Japanese motorcycles. The case lays out, in considerable detail, Harley's justification for protection and the Japanese manufacturers' counterarguments. The case is presented in two parts, the first focusing on the extent of the "injury" an the second on the nature of the relief Harley requested.
Students in groups of two will use an EV3 kit, EV3 accessories kit and Microbit. To Create a robotic golf putter. The putter will use a Microbit to read and analyze its acceleration. The robot will be allowed to travel up to 2’ to strike the ball to make a 6-8’ putt.
Basic Data Template for SLAM submissions
SLAM is a Learning Repository for Advanced Manufacturing Technology using 40 years of AMT materials contributed by Dr. Wysk and others willing to share their teaching materials. The intent of STAM is to improve AMT instruction and get new AMT methods into the classroom more quickly. Special thanks to NSF for their support of DUE-1841441.
The purpose of the 1G destructive bend test is to assess the student's ability to create a structurally sound material.
This lesson is the first of four lessons leading toward students gaining basic weld bead and joint proficiency in multiple welding processes. This SMAW lesson can be taught as a stand-alone lesson or as Lesson 1 of the integrated project Attaining Weld Joint Proficiency in Four Welding Processes .
The purpose of this lesson will be to strike an arc with a shielded metal arc welder. Students will practice creating an arc.
This lesson will help students become more proficient at creating a weld bead in the flat position.
In this lesson, students will learn about the safety hazards associated with the small engines shop. Students will learn how to avoid those safety hazards to operate the safest learning environment.
All models digitized by the Smithsonian Museum. 3D Models are downloadable in several formats for use in various 3D Modeling programs. The model viewer on the Smithsonian 3D Digitization page allows for embedding the used model viewer.

This is a rubric for assessing welds.
In this activity, students learn about creating a design directly from a CAD (computer-aided design) program. They will design a tower in CAD and manufacture the parts with a laser cutter. A competition determines the tower design with the best strength:weight ratio. Students also investigate basic structural truss concepts and stress concentrations. Partnership with a local college or manufacturing center is necessary for the completion of this project.
