This is a short toolkit discussing constructivism. Its founders, history, uses, and advantages and disadvantages are all discussed. Several videos and a knowledge check are included. All sources are listed at the end of the toolkit.
The (Advanced Instructional Design) course provides students with the knowledge and skills for designing and facilitating highly contextualized, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences based on the principles of constructivism, situated cognition, and connectivism. Readings expose students to a range of epistemological and theoretical perspectives as evidenced by instructional design literature and applications. The focus is on grounded or theory-based design. The course emphasizes the design of online or technology-supported learning environments (TSLEs) using a variety of pedagogical models such as situated learning, anchored instruction, problem-based learning, cognitive apprenticeship, and cognitive flexibility hypertext.
It is a CLE presentation on the flight simulations. It includes a comparison between an example of an objectivist learning environment and a CLE on flight simulation
The CLE presentation presents theoretical principles and instructional characteristics of Constructivist Learning Environments (CLEs), contrast these to the theoretical principles and instructional characteristics of Objectivist Learning Environments (OLEs), share an example of a CLE that is technology supported , and critique the extent to which the selected CLE example embodies the principles of constructivism.

First impression matters! Learn 3 quick and easy ways to create attractive and professional-looking PowerPoint title slide. These PowerPoint templates are open educational resource, created for educators, researchers and students. These templates accompanied an online workshop (see the embedded video) to learn how to make your slides look professionals.
Presentation about a critical review on AI. Developed under the PhD study program of Multimedia in Education.
Students are given a printout of several not very good maps and asked to critique them as a group. The maps are then projected at the front of the room one at a time and each group contributes their ideas.
Have you ever felt uneasy or even dreadful after losing a USB flash drive that might contain sensitive information or data about your business?
This presentation will give you a tool to put you at ease when backing up a large number of files and data to a USB flash drive or stick. The tool is relatively easy to use on a USB drive, is based on encryption technology, and protects your business data from the prying eyes.
Attendees will learn about the following topics:
- A brief introduction to data encryption.
- A few encryption tools for a novice user.
- Demonstration on how to use an encryption/decryption tool called VeraCrypt to protect the data on a USB
flash drive.
- Pros and cons of encryption/decryption technology.

Subject Matter Experts with no Instructional Design background who need to create e-learning fast and with no budget can save time with this free PowerPoint template. Download here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K_cUtLB-OAJqz1QaMotTU3nL4HtxXoii/view?usp=sharing
If you cannot afford PowerPoint, the template will also work with the free programs LibreOffice Impress and Google Slides. It is ideal for teaching adults, as it is based on the principles of Dr. M. David Merrill. A video of the template can be previewed at: https://www.theresamccuaig.org.
The Design Case Studies offer instructors with a starting point for introducing students to the design of technology and policy. Students work with value sensitive design methods to develop tech policy solutions.View or download the PDF version here.
This lab is the continuation of the lab manual - calculating temperature, helps students to locate groundwater discharges by interpreting thermal anomalies and identifying their geologic controls on land. There are known locations of submarine springs in the study area (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/).

This OER course “Digital Course Accessibility for Educators” was developed thanks to a grant project awarded to Lane Community College in Sept. 2023.This course is meant to be implemented in spaces where people are creating courses and course content for students of any kind. It has a focus and theme around education and online learning, teaching instructors how to implement accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the learner’s online course content. The format of this course was created as an online facilitated course and is estimated to take around 10 hours to complete.
Current formats provided include:
Moodle backup file. (Uploads to Moodle and other LMS’s that have a Moodle import option)
Moodle Common Cartridge file. (Uploads to Canvas, Blackboard, and other LMS’s, but may have more limited importability.)
Google Drive course file. (Includes all content in Moodle and common cartridge but in Google docs. Usable for anyone who does not have an LMS listed or needs access to source files for those using LMS’s above.)
Preview the Course: https://classes.lanecc.edu/course/view.php?id=122173
This OER first looks at the effects of capitalism and growth on the environment, and then introduces the concept of degrowth. Next, it will look at how education and digital education in particular can adapt itself to the concepts of degrowth in order to be sustainable and not harm the environment.
