ELLO is short for Everyday Language & Learning Opportunities. And as an organization, ELLO has
the overarching goal of increasing the number of quality, language-rich interactions between
caregivers and young children.
We seek to connect with home routines and community spaces that are routinely accessed
by families, such as grocery stores, laundry mats, public transit, libraries, and outdoor spaces.
Our resources encourage caregivers to talk with their children and are thematically tailored to fit
into familiar routines and community settings.
This is intentional and provides opportunities for conversations throughout everyday routines that
can empower all caregivers to realize how much they have the ability to benefit their child’s life
through something completely free, talking!

The Global Digital Library (GDL) has been developed to increase the availability of high-quality reading resources in underserved languages worldwide where there is currently a lack of quality early grade reading resources. A Mini book that is an overview of the US Space Race and how it evolved. Listed in the Index is the State of Texas TEKS for the EOC Grade 11 Exit Test.  Some of these TEKS cross over into WW1 and WW2 as well. It is not meant as a definitive resource, but rather a jumping-off point for young teachers of Social Studies, Science, STEM, or STEAM-related courses to inject some cross-curricular reading and writing and to promote critical thinking and a source of context for those courses aforementioned. It is also a starting point for activities (graphic organizers) and videos for classroom use or online learning purposes. It can be adapted to as low as 5th grade but only for supplemental purposes as their TEKS do not address this period.

LLC Commons: Open Resources for Online Teaching in Slavic

The LLC Commons (which stands for Language, Literature, Culture) is a collection of open materials and information focused on technology-enhanced teaching in Slavic languages and cultures. It includes a searchable repository of online materials for language teaching, a map with information about Slavic programs in the United States, and resource lists for online and hybrid teaching.

The online lessons (generally for Russian language courses, but other languages and more for literature and culture will be added in the future) have been produced with the following principles in mind: interactivity, multimodality, modifiability, and portability. The modules are mostly interactive videos made using H5P, though there are also YouTube videos as well as other types of activities. The collection, with over 400 resources, continues to grow.

Modules can be found through search, by topic, or by textbook, and can be embedded from the website or downloaded and modified by teachers if desired.

The website is supported by CERCLL at the University of Arizona.
