Here you can find reading guides that were created by Montgomery College faculty for undergraduate general chemistry students to use to guide their reading of OpenStax Chemistry. These guides are closely aligned with chapters 1-11 and were designed for use in the first semester sequence of general chemistry. They can be used in a flipped-style classroom where students complete them before the lecture. Or they can be used to reinforce important topics learned in class. Each study guide has fill-in-the blank style questions, as well as links to videos where similar problems are worked through. Finally, suggested practice problems relevant to the topic of each study guide are listed at the end.

Course Description:
Political Science 201 examines the Constitution and its major themes: separation of powers, federalism, judicial review, checks and balances, limited government, and
individual liberties. The course includes examination of the basic principles of American democracy, the philosophical and historical roots of the American political
system, and the relationship between the major institutions of our government with each other and the people. The politics of American democracy will be explored through an analysis of political ideology, political parties, voting, special interest group behavior, and public opinion. Individual liberties and civil rights will be examined in the context of the evolving American nation.

Passion-Driven Statistics is an NSF-funded, multidisciplinary, project-based curriculum that supports students in conducting data-driven research, asking original questions, and communicating methods and results using the language of statistics. The curriculum supports students to work with existing data covering psychology, health, earth science, government, business, education, biology, ecology and more. From existing data, students are able to pose questions of personal interest and then use statistical software (e.g. SAS, R, Python, Stata, SPSS) to answer them. The e-book is presented in pdf format for ease of use across platforms.

This resource consists of two .zip files that have reading guides for the College Physics textbook at openstax.org. Each zip file has Word documents for the standard first and second semester set of topics for a year-long freshman level college physics course. The reading guides summarize the key points, provide extra explanations, and pose questions for the student. The reading guides were written for the first edition of the textbook. Permission is granted for free use and editing of the reading guides.

This collection of spreadsheet-based labs was funded as part of the Digital Learning Research Network (dLRN) made possible by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The labs were adapted from the Statistics book, “Introduction to Statistics,” published by OpenStax College. The original labs used graphing calculators and were found within the book after each chapter. These interactive spreadsheet-based labs are effective for online and face-face courses.
