In comparison with e-learning content, e-learning processes evolve over time, and are essentially performed in such as way that they structure human activity using designs such as schedules, rules and protocols. Common e-learning activities include participating in online discussion, chat and other forms of conferencing (Salmon 2000), accessing specific e-learning content, taking tests and assessments, working through short exercises to stimulate thinking (Salmon 2002), or completing web forms such as those used in e-portfolios or course evaluation. While some elearning activities are direct analogues of offline activities, the majority (such as asynchronous communication) are significantly transformed by being in the online domain, and others, (such as interactive simulations and animation) are difficult to provide in any context other than an online environment.

This is an introductory Rust tutorial for developers who like learning by doing.

The purpose of this tutorial is to develop intuition about toolbuilding in Rust–specifically, to learn how to think and build in Rust.

Our goal is to produce a very basic command line compiler that will turn a basic Markdown document containing headings and paragraphs into an html file.

To do this, we will start from scratch by building a simple “Hello, World!” executable. Then, over the course of six chapters, iterate and expand until finally we can compile a very simple Markdown file into valid HTML.

This lesson provides an interactive, fun way to learn proper grammar and punctuation. Utilizing multimedia and technology-based platform, the game will use engaging and relatable everyday scenarios to learn about proper grammar and punctuation for application in speech and writing. The DLO focuses on the target audience of female learners 15-24 years of age who will be exposed to real-world applications for the information which they are learning, explicitly tailored to increase literacy skills on multiple levels. The problems and scenarios that are given are realistic, allowing learners to refer to personal, relevant experiences to use as a reference when experiencing similar scenarios. For rationale and defense, this relevance is also reinforced in the instruction by Dr. Rodgers. This DLO is designed to take learners through a media-based “Leo City,” where they will experience different levels of grammar activities with each character they meet in the world. As the learner improves their skills, their character will also power up and gain powers to be able to gain access to new sections of the city, until they reached the end.
