Academic/Business English is designed as a practical course to develop an authentic understanding of how to use concepts of writing and discourse to communicate in the workforce. Students will have the ability to express their thoughts, feelings, and opinions in using real-life situations and learning scenarios. All new concepts will be introduced in context while incorporating various writing, speaking and listening activities.

This lesson/activity is a supplement to textbook resources when teaching and reviewing adjusting entries for Supplies and Prepaid Insurance. By using candy (or other small items), students can record the transactions and have the visual inventory of items, thus emphasizing the need for adjusting entries.

This activity and lesson can supplement your accounting chart of accounts instruction provided in most accounting textbooks.

This STEM challenge can be used during an air unit. Students are able to find ways to best minimize air resistance. The students are trying to develop a paper airplane that will go the farthest in the class competition.

What kiddo doesn't want to launch something across the room?! In this challenge, students work to launch an alien the greatest distance using everyday materials. This is a challenge that can easily be adapted to different age groups and a variety of circumstances such as needing substitute plans or just beginning the wonderful world of STEM.

The following is an alphabet reading and writing drill based on advertisements for fast food items, restaurants/chains, and multinational companies that should mostly be recognizable to students. Students are asked to work in pairs, read the ads and write them out on the accompanying sheet in Arabic and translate them to English.
