This is a project that generally follows the PBL framework that can be used to help students master the concept of qudratics in their study of intermediate algebra. Specifically, it was designed to help students master the concept of quadratic functions, equations, and inequalities, including the parts of both standard & vertex equations, as well as how to identify the domain & range of a quadratic function; how to apply quadratics as the square of binomials; how to make decisions about a specific quadratic problem or application relative to the significance of the vertex and roots; and how to transform a quadratic by manipulating its parent equation. Note that the project was designed and delivered per the North Carolina Math 2 curriculum and it can be customized to meet your own specific curriculum needs and resources.

This hyperdoc guides students through 5 steps of a "Superhero Project". The projects serves as a capstone in the Secondary Math I classroom for online students. The project asks students to demonstrate the knowledge they have gained about linear and exponential equations. 

Project planning and delivery is a crucial skill for academic studies as well as the world of work. By participating in this course, adult learners will develop the necessary project planning skills and knowledge to prepare them for continued study and gain specific employability skills- communication and project planning. This lesson will help prepare learners to effectively plan and deliver a project. The lesson aims to teach the terms, concepts and communication skills of effective project planning including the project life cycle, project charter and work breakdown schedule. It is an interactive and informative course, designed to build on learners’ own previous experience and real world examples.

The intended audience are adult learners at grade level D with low literacy and numeracy skills. It is aimed at students studying in the adult education sector, who are studying alongside other commitments, for example family or work. The project planning terms and concepts are taught in an accessible, informal way, connecting to previous knowledge and understanding. Participants will participate in a range of conversations and collaborations with others partners, building on ideas and expressing their own clearly and persuasively. Conversations may be one-to-one, in groups or teacher-led. Learners will develop and demonstrate a variety of communication skills, including posing questions that connect the ideas of speakers, responding to questions and comments, acknowledging information expressed by others and when required, qualifying their own views.

The lesson materials and resources will enable the lesson to taught in a variety of contexts and environment, with minimal access to the internet and other technical resources.

I have designed and presented the content within StatsforMedics specifically for use by undergraduate medical students who are considering use of statistics for short-term research projects. However, this is with the understanding that students from allied health sciences may also benefit from engaging with the site and its sister site, Statistics CALs. Also, I am currently exploring use of selected content for outreach work in pre-university sectors.

A training programme for YOUNG PEOPLE involved in civic participation projects: the program targets youth-at-risk and contains lesson plans and related materials that youth activists and educators can use to train and guide youth-at-risk involved in local change projects.
