Authored by Belal Joundeya, Fly with Arabic: Unit One (I am a Student in Renaissance Academy) features a variety of language-learning lessons tied together by fun themes related to studying, school, and classroom culture. The unit focuses on the acquisition of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as knowledge of Arabic cultures and history.

Unit one is the first chapter in the "Fly with Arabic" series, which is comprised of a total of eight units, each containing several lessons, including fill-in-the-blank exercises, open-ended writing practice, and word-matching games, that seek to reinforce specific learning outcomes, such as oral and written production, writing, and reading. Additionally, brief cultural drills are included in each unit, and are designed to add a cultural dimension to each unit's language activities. All units also contain self- assessment checklists to help monitor and measure the learner's progress during the unit.

In summary, through using a number of drills to produce vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and speaking skills, including pictures, word-matching games, open-ended writing practice, and fill-in-the-blank exercises, the "Fly with Arabic" series seeks to connect all phases of Arabic-learning into one comprehensive package.

Students will identify objects relating to school correctly in French. Students will pull items from their backpack and correctly identify them in French.

In this activity, students are going to practice vocabulary relating to school. Students will play a game using a slideshow to identify objects relating to school using full sentences. At the end of the activity, students will also discuss the subjects they study in school and how they feel about those subjects.

Does it matter in education whether or not you've got a Y chromosome? You bet it does. In this discussion-based seminar, we will explore why males vastly outrank females in math and science and career advancements (particularly in academia), and why girls get better grades and go to college more often than boys. Do the sexes have different learning styles? Are women denied advanced opportunities in academia and the workforce? How do family life and family decisions affect careers for both men and women?

This PBL Inquiry Project has students learn more about nutrition and how it affects their school performance.

There are 10 stress mindset posters per partner language (60 posters in total) to reinforce learning from the research lessons related to stress management.

Mental health & wellbeing was a topic that emerged from the selection of strategies by participating teachers. In each country this was a topic that generated a lot of interest and teachers were eager to explore it. Thus, the project team created additional resources to support the development of research lessons for this strategy – such as stress mindset videos to teach stress mindsets in each partner language and classroom posters to reinforce the messages from the lessons throughout the school year.
