Are you a (project) engineer with a technical background but lack management knowledge? Are you eager to improve project performance and want to expand your knowledge?

This business and management course will focus on the necessary project management skills to successfully manage projects, distinguishing three areas:

The project manager and the team
The project process
The project context

The course focuses on the early project phases, including examples from technical projects within various sectors and industries (amongst others, but not limited to, infrastructure projects and construction projects).

At the end of this course, you will have created your own project execution plan, either in a team effort or on individual basis. Of course, the team effort allows for a special learning experience and we appraise active team participation.

How a Project Manager manages Costs and timeThe raw material purchased at step one became the cost of goods sold when the client accepted the completion of the job. When the entry was made for the cost of goods sold and the finished goods inventory another entry would be made to record the sale (debit Accounts Receivable and credit Sales). At this stage labor and overhead costs have not been considered.

Students experience civil and environmental engineering by planning a housing development in an existing biome, while also protecting the native species that live there. They conduct research, draw plans, make brochures and give presentations, with each team having a member serving as a project manager, civil engineer, environmental engineer and graphic designer. The best designs creatively balance the needs and resources necessary to support both the native species and human infrastructure.
