This site offers 18 instructional videos, divided into 4 levels, that are aimed at enabling users to read Arabic, and specifically Qur'anic Arabic. The video series begins by introducing viewers to the Arabic characters, taking great care to demonstrate the sounds they make and ends with guiding viewers through Qur'anic passages.

Reality Czech is an openly licensed online curriculum for beginning to intermediate-level Czech students. The course aims to be a highly communicative introduction to Czech language and culture and includes over 240 interview compilation videos shot in the style of a reality TV show on a variety of everyday topics such as daily schedule, hobbies, food and drink, studies, holidays, health, weather, and more.

The name Reality Czech reflects not only the centrality of these interviews to the curriculum, but also the textbook’s focus on the vocabulary and constructions Czechs frequently use to talk about everyday topics. The entire course has been shaped by the language used in the interview videos as well as openly licensed content sourced from the internet.

Each of the 10 units follows a sequence of pre-class, in-class, and post-class activities ideal for a flipped classroom:

- Pre-class activities such as Quizlet vocabulary activities, video and audio with comprehension questions, culture notes, and grammar exercises introduce students to new language.
- An activity book for in-class use provides all of the resources an instructor needs to create a communicative classroom experience focused around task-based learning, such as games and activities.
- Post-class activities use both exercises and authentic multimedia texts as a catalyst for students to create language.

The materials all exist natively online in flexible formats such as Google Docs, and are licensed with a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, allowing the curriculum to be easily adapted to 100% online delivery.

This is a radio station out of Lebanon that provides free streaming via their Ôlive audioŐ button. Unlike many other radio station websites operating out of the Middle East, it provides reliable, live audio to their station and is consistently updated. The interface is in English, making it easy to use for novice speakers of Arabic who are looking to listen in on some Arabic radio. Some of their archived shows play English music.

This interpretive listening and presentational writing task aligns with a novice-level unit about school supplies. This task is tiered by complexity of product (how students show what they know).

In addition to information on Islam, this website offers free Arabic lessons, starting with the alphabet in its entirety, including the names and all of the connected and unconnected forms of the letters. The grammar lesson includes writing examples, pronouns, the definite article, masculine and feminine nouns, adjectives, the dual form, and plurals. Additional lessons include numbers and counting, and lists of vocabulary, phrases, and sentences. An audio component is included with word lists.

In this lab, students will practice different Spanish greetings, as well as matching pictures of celebrities with emotions. 

Students will be able to identify cognates and false cognates by playing a game of Kahoot and looking at different advertisements in Spanish.

In this activity, students are learning about school supplies. The lab assistant will start with a Kahoot game that covers the majority of school supplies vocabulary. For the main activity, students are going to play jeopardy to practice vocabulary and also to practice making complete sentences. They will then be asked wrap up questions.

Students will talk about their daily routines, as well as how to read a calendar from Spanish speaking countries. They will also discuss different school subjects.

In this activity, students will be going over preposiciones by playing a game of Kahoot and identifying places on a map of the Boise State University campus.

In this activity, students will be able to identify different parts of family trees by using famous families and their own.

This activity is to expose students to other types of currency in Spanish speaking countries. Students will practice the numbers in Spanish and will use adjectives to describe items that they can sell and buy.

This activity will help students practice initiating conversations in Spanish with someone. They will use phrases and vocabulary that will help them gather information from a person as well as giving information about themselves. Students will talk about school life, weather, and activities they enjoy.

This page hosts five different lists of phrases grouped by categorry: introductory phrases, basic phrases and questions, and phrases related to the weather, hospitals, and internet cafes. Each phrase is written out alongside a transliteration and a translation.

This fairly active forum focuses on Moroccan Arabic. Its linguistic with sub-forums are focused on translation, books and exercises to practice Darija, and instructional videos. There are also many sub-forums on cultural issues. Additionally, there is a sub-forum conducted entirely in Arabic. Users must be logged in in order to post.

This website provides a series of lists of vocabulary that can be listed either in Roman transliteration or in Arabic script. Audio is included with the words. An option for flashcards is available for each list of words. The lists are divided into categories such as 'parts of the body' and 'buying things'.

This blog focuses on teaching the Arabic Qur'an and how to recite it properly using tajweed. The strategies and materials presented are intended to be used with children versus teenagers, although some strategies for teaching the language to teenagers are also presented. Materials available include the alphabet, multiple external links to sites like Arabic alphabet songs and information about Islam, and rules of tajweed.

Though this website focuses on providing tours to Egypt, it offers an extensive list of words in the Egyptian dialect in both Arabic script and in transliteration. The word list includes the kinds of words you might need to know when traveling, such as "Go straight please" and "I need room service." Each word is transliterated and accompanied by an audio file. There is also an article about history of the Arabic language and the Egyptian dialect. Photo galleries on the site could be used as part of classroom instruction.

These four dictionaries are available for free download for use offline. Each of the four dictionaries are available from both English to Arabic as well as Arabic to English or any number of other combinations with Arabic. The four dictionaries are the Universal Dictionary, Wictionary, Wikipedia, and Omegawiki. Each of these dictionaries are also available for online use as well for those who don't want to download the information.

This is a collection of items that are for use in Arabic classrooms.
