Mikulas Gaussman: a citizen digitally resourced for the future?

step 1: identify the 'openness' of three OER repositories

Visit the following three repositories for OERs and identify which is more 'open'.

www.oercommons.org

www.jorom.ac.uk

openeducationeuropa.eu

You may like to use an evaluative tool in order to identify the degree of 'openness' of each repository.

step 2: reflection

Through evaluating, would you say you are developing digital literacy skills? If so which?

To what extent, does the evaluative tool mentioned above...

  • adhere to a principle of openness, e.g. creative commons?
  • pose a barrier to openness e.g. the evaluative tool is in French and not in English?
