In this module we will provide a comprehensive description of the legal landscape of the assistive technology locally and on an international level as well as best practices.

Students will practice introducing themselves, greeting someone, and answering how they are doing. They will also learn greetings for different times of the day. Students will understand the cultural importance of la bise, how this particular form of greeting differs in distinct areas of France, and deepen their cultural insights into how to perform a ubiquitous French greeting. Students will also learn about the geopolitical divisions in France.

The lesson starts with a review of basic geometric terms.Angles are defined.There are four types of angles.A right angle measures 90° and forms a square corner. If you were to sit inside a right angle, you would be sitting straight up.An acute angle measures less than 90° and is open less than a right angle. Acute angles have a smaller measurement. Think of them as small and cute. =) If you were sitting inside an acute angle, you would be bent together like a 'V'.An obtuse angle measures more than 90° and is open more than a right angle. Obtuse angles have a larger measurement. If you were to sit inside a obtuse angle, you would be leaning back as if you were lounging in a beach chair by the pool.A straight angle measures exactly 180° and forms a straight line. If you were to sit inside a straight angle, you would actually have to lay down flat on your back.

An interactive applet and associated web page that demonstrate a right angle (those equal to 90 deg). The applet presents an angle (initially 90 deg) that the user can adjust by dragging the end points of the line segments forming the angle. As it changes it shows the angle measure and a message that indicate which type of angle it is. There a software 'detents' that make it easy capture exact angles such as 90 degrees and 180 degrees The message and angle measures can be turned off to facilitate classroom discussion. An interactive applet and associated web page that demonstrate the three types of triangle: acute, obtuse and right. The applet shows a triangle that is initially right (one angle 90 degrees) which the user can reshape by dragging any vertex. There is a message changes in real time while the triangle is being dragged that tells if the triangle is an acute, right or obtuse triangle and gives the reason why. By experimenting with the triangle student can develop an intuitive sense of the difference between these three classes of triangle.
