In this resource, you will learn what routines are and how to establish them in your daily schedule, how to decide how much time you spend on a section of your day to increase instructional time, and the importance of including brain breaks throughout the day.

This interpretive listening and presentational writing task aligns with a novice-level unit about school supplies. This task is tiered by complexity of product (how students show what they know).

This document is my PBL project. I worked with two other individuals and we discussed whether or not schools should start later. Our driving question was "Should schools start later?" We placed students in two different groups for a debate on whether or not school should start later or not. There was two groups - pro and against.

In this activity, students are learning about school supplies. The lab assistant will start with a Kahoot game that covers the majority of school supplies vocabulary. For the main activity, students are going to play jeopardy to practice vocabulary and also to practice making complete sentences. They will then be asked wrap up questions.

In this activity, students will practice vocabulary associated with school supplies. The activity facilitator will show a picture of an item and the first student that takes the item out of their backpack and says its name in the target language will receive a point. Students will also have the opportunity to show whether a statement applies to them, such as “having four roommates.” Students who have four roommates will be asked a follow-up question and if they can answer, they receive a point.

Students will learn about the days of the week and school subjects in Spanish. First, they will be asked to place the days of the week in order (for both the United States and Spanish speaking countries’ calendars). Then, they will be asked to share what day of the week they do a certain activity. Students will then practice describing and guessing various school subjects and days of the week.

A Personal Narrative Essay is a creative form of writing that explains a memorable event in a student's life. Like other types of essays, it follows a specific structure and includes an introduction, several paragraphs of body content, and a conclusion. The main purpose of a personal narrative essay is to convince the reader of why the applicant would be a good fit for the college or university they apply to.

In this activity students will be practice telling time in Chinese, as well as create schedules to describe their school lives, and describe school subjects. Students will also practice interviewing with each other by sharing their school life and make comments on culture understanding about school life in America and China.

Students will practice asking about the daily routines of their peers. They will also be able to describe their own daily activities to others. 

In this lab, students will learn how to describe their day and their actions. They will also learn how to explain the reason behind the action. Students will learn how to ask questions about a classmate's day and will be able to answer the question. 

Students will learn about and get the opportunity to practice the Japanese days of the week through two different activities. First, they will be asked to place the days of the week in order (for both the United States and Japanese speaking countries' calendars). Then, they will be asked to respond to what day of the week they do a certain activity. Students will also get additional practice with different school subjects through two interactive games.

The students will review the verbs they have learned so far, as well as the days of the week, the time of day, and the hours of the day. Then, they will ask and answer questions in pairs about simple daily schedules. Finally, as a group, they will describe what they do on the weekends.

Students will become more familiar with calendar days and days of the week. First, the students will put together a calendar using the days of the week and various calendar days, specifically the irregular days. Then the students will be asked to discuss what kind of activities they do on the different days of the week.

A simple presentation will introduce the students to a couple individuals’ simplified schedule. The presentation reviews the times of day and what activities someone would do throughout the day. The students will then build a small schedule for a character and practice presenting their schedule. At the end of the activity, students will talk about their own schedules.

In this lab, students will learn how to describe their day and their actions. They will also learn how to explain the reason behind the action. Students will learn how to ask questions about a classmate's day and will be able to answer the question.

Students will get to know their classmates better by asking what kind of activities they participate in. This will help students learn how to interact with other people in Korean. By conversing, the students will be able to identify some similarities with their peers as well.
