Welcome to the TIES therapist onboarding resource! These resources are available to help standardize school-based therapist training throughout the state of OR while also allowing individual school districts and ESDs to remix each resource to suit the needs of their region. By doing so, we aim to ensure continuity of training and services throughout the state.

Due to variations in ESD/district operations, the following are suggested activities that a trainer could provide to a new hire as a way to further orient them to the ESD's/district's operations.

It is important to show new hires where to access these protocols so that they can return to them as they encounter each item of equipment. Please note, these resources here may not reflect all of the equipment that is in use in your program.

The following resource provides information when training new hires in their role regarding evaluation, SPED eligibility & RIS. Additional webinars are provided to supplement this training.
