Civil rights activist, Coretta Scott King, once said, “Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation.” The signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a win, but it did not mark the end of the movement. This lesson will examine the numerous groups that are still fighting for civil rights today, including African Americans, Muslims, women, and members of the LGBTQ community.
