Purpose what: Cold War Domestic policies and reactions

why: to understand the political and social reaction of the American Public from 1945-1960

How: Video and document interpretation

Learning target: I can analyze why different groups of American were scared of Communism and the Soviet Union from 1945-1960.

Procedure: The instructor will give and over view of the Communist scare in the 1940s and the 50s. Students will then analize the point of view , argument, Historical situation, and contextualization of the document or video.

Students will then look at why battling Communism was a main priority for the American Government form 1945-1960, and how those priorities lead to HYsteria in some parts of the American Public.
