I would like to support Dr. Bean Folkes' goal in presenting OER to SOMS Middle School Social Studies and ELA teachers in hopes that they might consider submitting their awesome lesson plans, unit plans, and other resources to benefit our entire teaching and learning community.

I'd like to assist with curating lists of mateirlas for the various book/author units that are often taught.. However, we are currently assisting the principal with gathering resources and links for the various themed months. He then shares these links/resources with the staff community as a whole.

Since Mr Sanchez took over as principal, there has been an initiative to place vetted resources on the website, that concide with the topic of the month (Black History Month, Pride Month, etc.) I will continue to work with Mr. Sanchez in collating these resources and formatting them for the staff to have easier access to them instead of using their valuable time to search for them.

I've been working with the LMS Department to curate information on each of the special recognition months/themes, and lessons, and plan/hope to continue that collaboration.   We've got a lot of terrific lessons and resources so far, and I will continue to look for high quality information and resources to have available for our teachers.  I plan to add to this in an ongoing basis and make it available for our staff.  Much like what Jeff and Suzanne spoke about above.

Through exploring OER, I would love to curate resources for our curriculum supervisors and faculty.  The selected resources would assist with units of study and lesson plans.  Primary sources are some of the best tools for student learning and I am pleased that OER has so many of them.  I look forward to more collaboration with my group next week.

In ongoing collaboration with district Media Specialists as well as with teachers in my school, I will continue to seek out and curate quality resources that support lessons taught by Media Specialists and school curricula (including social studies 3-5, as well as themed months), and organize this information and provide access in ways that are most useful to teachers and students.

I would like curate resources and organize them in a way that various users of the OER site can access them easily. This involves building a plan for folder organization.

I'll share this with CHS STEM curriculum writers.

Also, this could be helpful during PLCs and Common planning meetings in 21-22

I anticipate communicating with administrators and teachers in my building to understand their needs in a general and also in very specific way and then researching and curating resources that will be of use in their professional practice.
