Reaching Out Goals and Outcomes: This project will address needs of rural school librarians as they transition to a more digital-based environment. Through face-to-face and virtual opportunities, the project will also provide librarians with opportunities to build capacity as instructional leaders to other school personnel, including teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals.

Remixing Questions/Discussions U2A2

I have been spending too much time on OER! Ha, but it feels like I haven't spent any time at all. I am loving how many resources are available, and disliking how many are not. And I am finding topics that I am interested in hard to find, and it makes me want to go back to our academic databases. It is also neat to "be on the lookout for" REMIXing options. It reminds me of keeping an eye out for other items online that are available for us to use, and source when using them of course.

I do feel a bit odd though... maybe more awkward than anything. I feel like I should not be allowed to become the "author" of a resource that I did not personally create. I wonder if my remix will even be accepted? I was confused on merging two resources, but I'm sure I will find out soon enough if my remix is accepted or not. This is definitely a neat thing, I just don't know how much I love it. Time will tell!
