It damages the physical as well as the mental health of a person. It also hinders the productivity of the work. For us, your mental well-being comes first therefore we have listed down different ways to overcome such people.

Examine Yourself

Observe yourself, if you predict that you are being bullied, what is your ultimate reaction to it. Are you committing something that triggers the person and he is compelled to bully? We are humans and we are bound to commit mistakes if you made an error once and someone mocked you. Let it go and avoid repeating the same mistake. If you are not doing anything and someone is bullying and you are not paying heed to it, then this surely is problematic. If you are being bullied check your immediate reaction? How you are handling the situation? In what ways can you overcome this problem? Is your reaction triggering your bully? The very first step is to examine the situation and if you can deal with it on the initial stage, then that is great.

Record Shreds of evidence

Before you take any step, start documenting the things the bully does. Whenever you interact with the bully record the details or make someone conscious so they can witness your case when the time comes. If you don't have evidence make sure to find something before taking your case elsewhere. Record the date, the place and time of your interaction with the bully. Note the bully’s performance in the organization and record it. This will help you to win the case against your bully.

Take an Action

You should take action before it starts affecting your mental health or creates hindrance in your work. You must do something and stop the bully at its initial stage if someone constantly does it out of habit. Decide what you can do to end this. Many times it happens that people are scared to take the stand, you should take a stand for yourself. If you will not, then who will? Confront the bully and ask him to stop. Explain how the unfair attitude and unnecessary bullying of someone is affecting you. Tell them if they don’t stop you are going to approach higher authorities.

Talk to Your Coworkers

You should note the behavior of bully and talk to your coworkers about this issue. Many times your mates are also facing the same issue but they don’t discuss it. Talk to them about how the problem is causing you trouble. Observe the behavior of your mates as well and all of you can decide to teach a lesson to bully or can present a stronger case to higher authorities if the situation is beyond your control.  As they say, unity is power. And enjoy the power of unity by working in a toxic-free environment. This would stop anyone from being the victim of a bully in the future.

Internet Rescue Yourself

If none of the things mentioned above helps, you can always visit the internet because nowadays there is a lot of buzz regarding the bullying at the workplace or educational places. Different organizations have made it easier to report bullying via just one click. As the Internet empowers people. For example, you can always contact (STRYVE) Striving to reduce Youth Violence Everywhere or resume writing services NYC, they will help you to address the issue in a manner you have never thought of.

Talk to Your HR

If the bully does not stop or you are scared to approach an individual because of its authority, then consult your HR manager and tell him about the uneasy situation. Before you take the case to HR make sure to analyze the situation and tell him about the condition. You shouldn’t just play the role of the victim but confidently address the issue. Be very specific that the bullying is affecting your pace of work, mental health and morale. This is the only possible and formal way to present your case.

Consult the Higher Authorities

If you did everything that was under your control and still the bully doesn't stop. It is time to consult the Higher Authorities because nothing is more important than your mental well-being. You should tell the bully that you are going to make things official by contacting the Work Commission. If you can present pieces of evidence, then this will work in your favor.
