The Student Oral Proficiency Rating (SOPR) measures listening and speaking skills and it can be administered to students who are in K-12h grade. Using SOPR, students' language competencies are assessed through formal and informal classroom interactions. This assessment lasts for a period of two to three weeks. Students are assigned scores ranging from 1-5 on the following categories of oral proficiency: comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar.
