Warm-Up

Use the morning routine cards and sequence words to put their own personal routines in order and then present to the group to compare and contrast

The students will, individually or in pairs depending on the size of the lab, organize the cards according to their routine.

“You are going to organize the cards according to your routine each day.”

“Use the blue, green and pink cards to create a complete sequence.”

OPTIONAL: “For example:...”

Have them present their routines when finished

“Now, you are going to present your routines”

OPTIONAL (if in need of an example): “I will start...”

Ask follow up questions with frequency words.

Questions:

"What do you like to eat when you're on a date?"

"What do you like to do on the weekends?"

"Which one would you like more: a date at the park or the movies?"

"What is your favorite kind of music?"

"Do you like to eat breakfast before or after brushing your teeth?"

"Do you like to shower in the morning or at night?"

"What time do you wake up everyday?"

Main Activity

We are now going to separate in groups. One group will be celebrities, other will be the personal assistants. The personal assistants ask questions to the celebrities to find out more about their daily routine and preferences

“The assistants need to ask the celebrities questions to understand their preferences and routines. Then the celebrities need to answer.”

Using the information they gathered, they will work with the celebrity to create an itinerary for a one day visit to the personal assistant's favorite town (both the getting ready part, and then what they actually do for the date, and then the evening routine before bed). Have them share two things from the routine and two things for the date.

“Can you share two things about your routine?”

“And two things about the date?”

If, there's time, have them switch roles:

“Now you all are the celebrities and you all are the assitants.”

Wrap-Up
