Topic: Letter Writing

Time: 11-12

 

Specific Objectives: Students should be able to:

·         Write a properly formatted friendly letter

·         Use capital letters correctly

Previous knowledge: Students should be familiar with some aspects of letter writing.

Teaching material:

·         Sample letter

Procedure:

·         Word study

·         Pupils will read sample letter

·         Pupils will discuss what has been read-use of capital letters, parts of a sentence, word choice etc.

·         Pupils will be guided in writing a letter.

 

Class work: Students will write a letter to a friend telling them about their experience during the hurricanes.

 

Adjustments: Pupils will be given copies of phonics pages.
