Geometry

About this course

In this course students gain proficiency in basic geometric concepts, including properties of triangles, circles, and polygons; transformations including translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations; and working with surface area and volume of solids.

After completing this course, the student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic geometry concepts and vocabulary
  • Use the basic properties of triangles, polygons, and circles so solve problems.
  • Find area, perimeter, surface area, and volume of various shapes
  • Perform transformations including translations, reflections, rotations, and dilations.
