How to use these materials

Slides

In the links below you will find three types of materials. The first are the slideshows, which are in Google Slides format. I have slides for a unit separated by days of the week. This is because I do those slides and the corresponding worksheet one day and then another set the next day.

Worksheets

Every day there is a worksheet to accompany the words from the slideshow. Each worksheet typically has 3 parts: 1) letter handwriting practice 2) letter gapfill with pictures and 3) listening activity.

Audio

Each slideshow has accompanying audio for the words that are presented. In addition, each listening activity at the bottom of the worksheets will also have accompanying audio.

In my classes I do not use the audio as I am a native speaker and it is simple to pace the lesson to my students needs by doing live listening. However, part of my goal is to get these materials out to places where the teachers may not be native speakers of English. The audio provides native pronunciation so that students can hear authentic language and start connecting letters to sounds.

Materials
