About the Course

This course will help participants understand what life skills are, how to assess a client’s life skills, and how to successfully work with clients to help them strengthen or acquire certain life skills. 

 Topics will include:

  •  Issues that influence life skills such as culture, family, personal experience and life stage.
  •  In-depth information on specific life skills such as Finances, Food and Nutrition, Home and Child Safety, and Setting Goals and Staying Organized.

Participants will develop an understanding of adult learning principles to support their teaching and mentoring of adults.
