February 2021 - This 18-year-old lesson plan (!) includes overhead projection and transparency PDFs! The overall intent of the lesson is good, but the instruction is a bit dry. Offering picture book examples of "showing and not telling" would be a better warm-up than the suggested lecture, and I would quickly skip to students acting out various emotions and the rest of the class writing down descriptions of the emotions. This would allow for a more active demonstration of this skill.
