Throughout the world including in India, many policies and programmes towards inclusive education with reference to children with disabilities has become significant and an important part of all the initiatives taken by the Government. The RPWD Act (2016) put forth new challenges before school education. Regular classroom teachers and special teachers need to be equipped with more comprehensive knowledge and skills required to cater the special educational needs of students with a wider spectrum of disability.
