Welcome to the Oregon Open Learning Hub. This is the place to find and share open educational resources (OER) that are curated and created for and by Oregon educators. Community is at the heart of OER, and the Oregon Open Learning Hub intends to bring together educator authors and curators to collaborate in a virtual space for the benefit of all students, educators, and communities across our state. We invite you to contribute to this community by using these resources, providing feedback, or joining a group below to create and share resources for use across Oregon!
Using OER benefits the education community in multiple ways:
- OER promote educational equity because all students can have access to high quality, up-to-date, and relevant learning materials.
- Investing in OER builds educator capacity through collaborative professional learning, and it empowers educators by giving them the freedom to adapt resources to fit their students' learning needs.
- OER can be freely distributed without concern about copyright violations.
- Many OER are licensed to allow remixing or adapting - meaning that you can change a resource to include differentiation for students, localize the content, or integrate it with other content.
This hub is sponsored by the Oregon Department of Education, whose mission is to foster equity and excellence for every learner through collaboration with educators, partners, and communities.
ODE is committed to providing ongoing guidance and resources for schools, students, families, and communities as we sort through this unprecedented situation together. The Oregon Open Learning Hub will continue to evolve as a resource sharing platform. For the most current updates and guidance from ODE, visit ODE's COVID-19 Resource page.
