NIAL OER Collections Repository

The mission of the Network of Idaho Academic Libraries (NIAL) is to leverage the spirit of cooperation inherent in Idaho’s academic library community with the goal of strengthening the library services and resources offered by Idaho’s institutions of higher education. Formalizing collaboration among the academic librarians of Idaho allows for increased exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among these academic professionals to promote projects and initiatives of mutual interest. As per this mission, these collections serve as gathering places for OER resources related to specific departments and courses. A primary motivator for this Group is the Idaho GEM Course program.

Save Materials to Course Folder

Good afternoon! Just a reminder that when you save a course to the repository, please save it to the course folder it is being used in.

Also, please only save items that are absolutely going to be used in a course. If you are considering using a resource, keep tabs on it for potential submission when you have made definitive plans to use or adapt it. We want to focus on textbooks and other resources that are being used in courses.

That having been said, lest we be too stringent, there is no requirement for performance of a particular resource unless it is shown to be unreliable and inaccurate. As long as it has been used and not proven false, it can be included.

These rules are subject to change or eradication upon consideration by the whole NIAL OER Standing Group.
