Math Snacks is a fun and interactive educational series. This website contains five animated videos focusing on key mathematical concepts included in the Common Core curriculum for grades 4-8. Each interactive is beautifully illustrated, contains audio, and is supported by supplementary printable resources. All learner resources are available in both English and Spanish. Teacher guides as well as teaching videos support classroom implementation. A powerful supplementary tool for educators teaching about ratios, rates, scale factor, unit conversion, and the number line, as well as a source for children's educational entertainment at home.
Math Snacks was developed by the Learning Games Lab located at New Mexico State University.

In response to school closures due to COVID-19, OSPI content experts have curated a selection of links to external organizations providing high-quality online educational materials – courses, lessons, videos, physical and outdoor activity suggestions, etc. Please note that in many cases, these resources are free to use online but are not openly licensed for wide scale reuse and adaptation.
Polyup is a math education app available freely on the web. With the goal of instilling creative problem solving and computational thinking skills into K-12 students, Polyup allows students to play with numbers and functions in a freeform environment.
Permitted use: Polyup is available today on the web on any internet-enabled device. As its core philosophy, Polyup is and will always be available for free to students and teachers
We’re excited to announce a partnership between the public television stations across Washington and OSPI. Your local public television station is offering educational programming for students in grades 6–12 from 9:00am–2:00pm daily. These educational programs (programs like NOVA and The American Experience) have curriculum and discussion guides available for students, teachers, and families.
Free reading options for all Pre K - 12 students. Sites include access for English learners as well as students with reading barriers. Opportunities are highlighted for online reading, downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, apps to read content on smartphones/tablets, and read aloud stories for our youngest learners.

We would like to remind you of the Resources Library located within the Family area of the online platform, GOLD®. If you have added your student's family members and their emails to the online platform (if not see instructions below), you will be able to directly email families those activities that are based on the areas of development for your students. These activities are intended to be shared and are therefore, family friendly. Take some time to explore the Family area in GOLD® and consider using these lessons as a way to support your remote learning plan.
Wide Open School is a free collection of online learning experiences for kids curated by the editors at Common Sense.This site has a very user friendly interface, an excellent organizational structure, and reputable partners providing quality content. Though the connected resources are free for viewing online, please note that not all are openly licensed so your permitted use of the materials will vary.
