    Warm-Up

First students will play the game "Heads Up". For this game each student will have a card with a body part on it, they will draw the card and put it up to their head without looking at it. All students will have a card help up to their head and they will take turns asking the other students yes or no questions and trying to guess what card they have on their forehead.

Zuerst weden die Studenten "Heads Up" spielen.

    Main Activity

    1. Have a volunteer lay down on the butcher paper and have everyone help trace the outline of their body.

    2. Next, divide up the body part cards among the students.

    3. The students will try to match the body part cards with where the body part is on the paper. They should draw the body part and label it on the paper.

    4. After they have drawn and labeled everything have them come up with some information about the person. This will help for next week's activity.

    5. Name, age, height, job, free time activities, hair color, eye color, etc.

Name, Alter, Größe, Beruf, Freizeitaktivitäten, Haarfarbe, Augenfarbe usw.

    • IMPORTANT: The instructor needs to keep the paper body that the students drew for next week.

    Wrap-Up

Ask students the following question to finish the activity:

    • Habt ihr euch schon einmal Knochen gebrochen? Wenn das so ist, wie? (Have you ever broken any bones?  If so, how?)

    Cultural Resources

Here is a fun video with Anya for more practice with  Body Parts.

    End of Activity

    • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate their confidence.
    • (Use thumbs up/thumbs down or download our student cards.)
    • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
    • Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future activities!
