    Materials Needed:

    Warm-Up

    1. Begin by opening the Google Slideshow and introduce the Can-Do Statements. The warm up activity is about two truths and one lie, start asking the following question to the students and tell them to write down their answer on the chat box.

Go over the rules on the slide with the students and ask them if they have any questions.

Open up a timer and set it for a minuto to get answers on the chat. If you didn’t receive enough answers, give them more time to answer it.

    Main Activity

For the main activity, students are going to have two minutes to write down in a piece of paper or google doc two lies and one truth. Students are going to be placed in partners' breakout rooms to talk with their partner to find out which one is the lie. Be sure to tell the students to ask questions to their partner about each statement.

Go over the rules from the slide with the students

    Wrap-Up

    1. If time permits, ask the students to share the lies with the entire group.
    2. Review the Can-Do statements at the end of the activity.

    End of Activity

    • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
      their confidence.
(Use thumbs up/thumbs down or download our student cards.)
    • Encourage students to be honest in their self-evaluation.
    • Pay attention, and try to use feedback for future activities!
