Welcome to How to Canva - Tips and Tricks!
Canva is a popular, 21st century graphic design platform that is so easy to use! Many are using Canva to create presentations, social media posts, videos and a lot more.
In this course, I'll be sharing some tips and tricks using Canva. This introductory course is for educators, professionals, students and for those who probably have used a presentation app before e.g. PowerPoint, and want to start using Canva.
We will have a quick tour of Canva before we get on to creating a media post. Follow me step-by-step in creating an Instagram media post where you will discover how easy to use Canva. So we'll start from one of its many beautiful and modern templates, customising the templates with text, colours, background music and various effects.
How to Canva videos are concise, purposeful and delivered in easy-to-follow lessons. These microlessons are designed in a progressive manner, building a micro-skill at a time towards completing a mini-assignment (please see the end of this course).

Lesson #3 Let's create an Instagram post in Canva
In this video, we will start creating an Instagram post and customise a template, text and colours. Watch the step-by-step video:

Lesson #4 Refining the Design - Text Effects and Elements
Now you have the post ready with appropriate text, let's refine the design further using the text effects and adding in some elements from Canva Elements menu. Watch the video to learn how can we refine the design:
Lesson #5 Adding Animations, Text Templates and Background Music
You can now make your Instagram post more interesting by making the elements animated and coupled it with a background music.
Using the first post as the base design, we are going to create a second post using a text template. Watch how I do it in the following video:

In addition to text, elements (illustrations, icons) and music, you can also add photos and videos in Instagram posts. And there are also other interesting stuff in Canva for example, searching for similar elements and tips on staying organised. Watch the video to learn more:

Canva integration with other apps / platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pixabay mades it more versatile and customisable for your own work. 2. download and share it on your social media platform(s).
