Group Presentation Work
Overview
In this lesson, students will complete their presentation with their group.
Preparation
- Read the lesson and student content.
- Anticipate student difficulties and identify the differentiation options you will choose for working with your students.
- Make sure you are familiar with each group's progress to better support each group in class.
Group Presentation Check-In
- Remind students that this is their final class period to work on their presentation.
- Suggest possible tasks that students should complete.
- ELL: This is a good time to meet informally with ELLs if they are struggling to participate.
Opening
- With your group, list all the tasks that still need to be accomplished for your presentation.
Open Notebook
Group Presentation Work
- Circulate as groups work.
- SWD: Make sure students with disabilities are participating actively and are clear on what their role is.
Work Time
- Work on your presentation. Whatever is not finished during this lesson will have to be finished outside of class time.
Final Planning
- Check in with each group and make sure individuals are contributing equitably to the effort.
Closing
- Divide any remaining tasks that will have to be completed outside of school, making sure all group members understand their responsibilities.
Presentation Prep
- Encourage students to polish all aspects of their presentation.
Homework
- Finish any tasks you have left for your presentation.
