    What’s for Breakfast?

    Overview

There is a vast amount of choices that you can have for breakfast, but sometimes we don't take the time to enjoy this important meal of the day.  There are various vocabulary words related to this meal, also known as desayuno in Spanish. There are several beverages as well. In this seminar you will learn about vocabulary dealing with breakfast foods and understand the cultural differences between an American breakfast and a Spanish breakfast.

    Elaborate

This is a task or project where you can show what you know.

You are taking a new exchange student from Barcelona to IHOP.  He explains to you that in Barcelona they usually just have a small cup of coffee and a toast for breakfast.  You explain that in the United States people love their breakfast and sometimes they eat a lot more than just a small coffee and toast.  You want to prepare them for some breakfast choices that IHOP may offer. Select 2 breakfast menu options from the IHOP menu online. Take screenshots or copy the pictures of what you select.  Then read, in Spanish, and record yourself indicating what the breakfast foods are in each menu selection.  Use the following format:

Para el desayuno me gusta _______________________.

You may look up additional breakfast words online if you are looking for one that is not on your list.

For Example (you will turn in 2 like these, but you cannot use this one):
