    Natural High Presentation

    Natural High Presentation

    Overview

Natural High Presentations give students the opportunity to explore activities that give them a natural high and share it with others by answering the required questions and demonstrating or giving a visual example of their natural high.

This assignment can be done in a brick and mortar classroom in person as well as in an online classroom using a program such as Flipgrid.

    Natural High Presentation Description

Explain to students what a natural high is and how it can help them stay drug-free.

    What is a Natural High?

A natural high is experienced when a person participates in an activity that makes them feel good, but doesn’t involve drugs. Doing things that you enjoy releases natural feel-good chemicals in your brain like dopamine, which regulates movement, emotion, motivation, and pleasure. A natural high is defined as a euphoric or excited state that is not due to ingestion of drugs or another substance (drugabuse.gov).

    Natural High Presentation Instructions

Give each student a Natural High Presentation Instructions (handout) including the Natural High Presentation Rubric and review presentation expectations. I also recommend preparing a presentation of your own as an example.
