The goal of the #GoOpen network is to enable states, districts, and groups of educators and researchers to discuss their OER-related work, and to build connections around K-12 OER successes and challenges in a centralized space. To do this successfully, the network needs motivated #GoOpen leaders who bring experience and insight to the network’s conversations. Together we can foster new investigations and design ways to share more concrete learnings, to better inform the field about OER and OEP in the K-12 classroom. This, in turn, will help to grow the movement, so that new districts, states, nonprofit leaders and researchers join the network and contribute their unique perspectives—toward enhanced, OER-enabled instruction for more learners. I wish to welcome you, on behalf of ISKME, partner in the #GoOpen initiative, and invite your contributions to building a vibrant network for sharing!

GoOpen.us is a new web site in its beta phase, as we refine and roll it out to a wider group of OER stakeholders. With the vision to nurture collaboration and knowledge building among #GoOpen and OER stakeholders, we are focusing on growing the site into a dynamic hub for engaged learning, sharing, and inquiry. Numerous features on the site are designed to enable members of the network to create and contribute their own resources.
