The Bing translator can translate to and from 39 different languages. The program can translate words, phrases, idioms, and complete sentences with a high degree of accuracy. An audio component is included for English words. The most commonly used translated word is given for translated words and phrases, i.e. 'fill' for ___ instead of 'work'.

These units, and the supporting resources of Global Words, aim to build the essential knowledge, skills and values young people need to participate actively, critically and creatively as global citizens. This curriculum integrates the teaching and learning of English, across strands of language, literature and literacy, with Global Citizenship Education, using explicit and exploratory teaching and learning activities. This course is designed for students who tested into Basic Writing (WRT010) but out of Basic Reading (REA011) and who would like to succeed in and earn degree-credit for English Composition (ENG101). In this course, students will improve writing skills needed to succeed in English Composition I emphasizing the writing process, elements of the essay including source-based assignments, sentence skills, active reading strategies, and strategies for student success. Any student registered for this class will be co-registered in a linked ENG101. PLEASE NOTE: This course is a developmental course and DOES NOT carry graduation credit. It is NOT usually transferable. Since developmental courses are mandated courses, students who do not meet the exit criteria of C- or better for Writing Fusion or the linked ENG 101, will be required to repeat WRT 090 or WRT 010.
