My niece and nephew's elementary school was closed due to COVID-19, so we decided to have weekly meetings via zoom to set up research projects and activities that they would complete. This remote learning plan includes the following projects: Animal Research via webcams, Research a Real Life Hero, Research a Country, Interview a Family Member, Perform a Play, Make Environmental Art & La Loteria Board Game, and Compare & Contrast COVID-19 Data.

Lesson is utilized for “@ home” learning prior to the fitness testing portion of the school year. Students are provided with a "log" to be completed at home during remote learning period. The behaviors are intended to improve students self awareness as well as the different fitness components required to build a healthy body and brain.

This sequence of instruction was developed in the Growing Elementary Science Project to help elementary teachers who were working remotely.  We developed a short storyline that ties together a few sessions to help explore a specific concept.  We tried to include some activities that honored and included the student’s family and experience, and some that included the potential for ELA learning goals.
Students view a couple of videos and record what they notice and wonder about how plants change as seasons change. Students take a walk with family members to search for evidence of changes due to weather in their neighborhoods.
It is part of ClimeTime - a collaboration among all nine Educational Service Districts (ESDs) in Washington and many Community Partners to provide programs for science teacher training around Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and climate science, thanks to grant money made available to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) by Governor Inslee.

This OER campus administrator guide, officially entitled "OER & Online Learning: Administrator Quick Start Guide, Strengthening the Shift to Online Learning in California Community Colleges Through the Use of OER", is an outcome of a project by ISKME, supported by a grant from the Michelson 20MM Foundation, to conduct a study and develop a set of resources to accelerate OER use for distance education, especially the urgent shift to remote learning during the pandemic in 2020.

The Guide, created in collaboration with a selection of OER and online education champions across California community colleges (CCC), seeks to support community college administrators in California and beyond in more effectively supporting faculty use of OER as they work to address the reality of online learning in response to COVID-19 and future disruptions. The guide provides quick tips and starting points for campus administrators as they work to create the policy and practice environments needed to foster increased OER use for online learning.

This OSPI resource provides curated collections of free activities, lessons, units, and informational "texts" (articles, passages, e-books, videos, podcasts) to support every NGSS Performance Expectation (standard) in grades K-5.  This resource is intended to support teachers with teaching science while also integrating science and ELA to grow student knowledge, thinking, application, and skills in both content areas.  Materials are organized into units based on the topics and essential questions in each grade. Resources listed are all freely available online, with some requiring teachers to create free accounts to access.  Some trade books are also listed that might be accessed through a library system. The Faculty Quick Start Guide is an outcome of a project by ISKME, supported by a grant from the Michelson 20MM Foundation, to conduct a study and develop a set of resources to accelerate OER use for distance education, especially the urgent shift to remote learning during the pandemic in 2020. The Guide, created in collaboration with a selection of OER and online education champions across California community colleges (CCC), contains:

- Models and approaches to online learning, and to emergency remote learning in the context of COVID-19;
- How and to what extent OER fits into these models, and local and state-level supports needed for its integration and sustainability;
- Design considerations for integrating OER in online learning, including pedagogical and platform considerations;
- Curatorial practices, such as using OER curation tools and aligning curated OER to learning outcomes; and,
- Starting points and tips for colleges and faculty who want to initiate OER integration into distance education.

The exercises are intended to improve the students fitness as well as performance on upcoming fitness assessments.

This Remote Learning Plan was created by Beth Einspahr in collaboration with Eileen Barks and Caryn Ziettlow as part of the 2020 ESU-NDE Remote Learning Plan Project. Educators worked with coaches to create Remote Learning Plans as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Students will use the writing process to create a Persuasive Essay. This Remote Learning Plan addresses the following NDE Standards: 5.2.1.a, 5.2.1.b, 5.2.1.c, 5.2.2.b, 5.2.2.e.

In partnership with teachers, the Louisiana Department of Education arranged OpenSciEd (grade 6-8 science) content in a manner that stays true to the vision of the materials and provides clear guidance on how to use them in a fully remote environment. The modified materials assume that teachers will have synchronous virtual meetings with students in addition to home learning.
The site also provides a variety of resources with options for students who do not have internet access.

Students perform a variety of activities to equal 100 to celebrate the 100th day of school.
