The website is collectively made and authored by students from the University of the Philippines Open University under the program of Multimedia Studies.

This course is designed to prepare you for a successful student teaching experience. Some of the major themes and activities are: analysis of yourself as a teacher and as a learner, subject knowledge, adolescent development, student learning styles, lesson planning, assessment strategies, classroom management techniques and differentiated instruction. The course requires significant personal involvement and time. You will observe high school classes, begin to pursue a more active role in the classroom in the latter part of the semester, do reflective writings on what you see and think (journal), design and teach a mini-lesson, design a major curriculum unit and engage in our classroom discussions and activities.

This book is an accompaniment to the OER text How to Learn Like a Pro by Phyllis Nissila. I used this text in an English for Academic Purposes course at South Central College in Faribault, Minnesota. During this process, I developed a number of supplemental activities and have published those activities in this book. This book is intended to be used in coordination with How to Learn Like a Pro.

Students will have a fingerspelling quiz, both from the lab assistant and from other students in the lab. For the main activity, students will be designing their ideal classrooms fit to their learning styles, then comparing and contrasting their designs to ideal classrooms for the Deaf.

This resource helps to understand the Four Learning Styles identified by David Kolb.

Through lectures, discussions, and class exercises, 15.322 analyzes the human processes underlying organizational behavior and change. The class makes students aware of the challenge of organizational change and equips them to better handle it. There are many psychological and sociological phenomena that regularly occur in organizations, though many of these forces are difficult to see. The aim is to increase the students' understanding of these forces – in themselves and in others – so they become more visible and manageable. The prerequisite for this course is 15.321 Leading Organizations I.

The idea of learning styles is widespread throughout the field of pedagogy and people are often categorized according to their learning style. However, in scientific research, there has been no credible evidence that supports the existence of learning styles. In this video, we define the learning styles theory, talk about some previous research in the field of pedagogy, and explain why there is no true basis behind the idea of learning styles. This video also features a talk by Dr. Joseph Kim from McMaster University, who speaks about the inexistence of learning styles.
