The Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has teamed with the Civic Learning Council and the National Constitution Center to provide this professional development opportunity on resources and tools for helping students engage in discussions of controversial issues.

Cybersecurity represents a comprehensive challenge facing all staff in K-12 organizations and requires the creation of a culture of cybersecurity within each K-12 organization. This paper identifies and addresses staffing cybersecurity across the K-12 organization, including identifying several strategies for staffing cybersecurity within the school system. These strategies include developing focused cybersecurity positions; incorporating cybersecurity duties and responsibilities in all existing K-12 technology positions, leveraging cross-district collaboration and/or managed services to augment cybersecurity staffing; and expanding the expectation that cybersecurity is a responsibility of all members of the K-12 education community.

This four-part module has been developed as an initial component developed to prepare leaders of K-12 professional development to engage in independent study and initial exploration of culturally responsive teaching, the NGSS shifts, and relevant connections between NGSS and Common Core. This is part of a larger equity-focused professional development program designed for K-12 facilitators of NGSS working in throughout the rural areas of Oregon.It will take approximately 2 hours to complete and brings together many already developed resources in new ways. Module A is the introductory module for the Oregon Science Project NGSS Learning Facilitator Program. This is part of a larger equity-focused professional development program designed for K-12 facilitators of NGSS working in throughout the rural areas of Oregon.

This is a very well-produced website with material on a wide range of art-related topics. There are essays on specific artists and on more quirky topics like pop star clothing. The images on individual art historical movements are interactive, click and more information appears. There are embedded videos on certain topics. It is a relatively comprehensive and entertaining website, although the topics have to be searched for - it is not chronologically laid out as a text.

This guide is intendend as a strategic planning tool for district leaders wishing to promote the already pedagogically and financially compelling practice of creating or adapting open educational resources (OER) to help achieve district goals in serving all students through diversity, equity, inclusion, or accessibility (DEIA) lens.  The guide provides step-by-step planning tools, including examples, templates, and resources to help district leaders articulate and establish action plans for what we refer to as "OER-DEIA."  The entire guide is an open educational resource itself, free and openly licensed for reuse, remixing, and resharing.
