Misaki's Journal is an interactive Japanese Graded Reader. This means that each journal entry has printable materials and well as digital and intractable resources available for students to use alongside their reading experience.

This textbook is designed for beginning learners who want to learn basic Japanese for the purpose of living and working in Japan. Unlike textbooks written primarily for students, whose content largely centers on student life, this book focuses more on social and professional life beyond school.

COERLL produces online language learning materials (for example language courses, reference grammars, assessment tools, and corpora) for teachers to adopt, adapt, modify, and share, and also provides professional development tools for teachers. You can browse materials on the COERLL website.

Suitable for first year Japanese students in college and/or three to four years in high school Japanese program. Some parts can be used in middle school levels, too. Slide style text books with a lot of graphic images and classroom activities, outcome check worksheets to go with the lessons, and kana/kanji practice worksheets. Other materials and source files are available upon request by email.

Description:Students will review basic introductory phrases. The students will then take turns introducing themselves to their classmates, discussing their names, years in school, majors, and nationalities. In this activity, students will practice talking about the prices of various objects that can be found at various stores. Students will also talk about the location of these items. 

Description:The students will have a selection of bingo rounds to practice katakana with. Start with bingo 1 to practice the basic characters and prepare the students for a more difficult game. Then go to bingo 2 which will be a more exciting game where students will practice full katakana words.
