Esta cartilha se destina ao publico juvenil, mas também a todos aqueles que se interessem pelo tema, a fim de proporcionar maior familiaridade com a temática através do desenvolvimento de conceitos e levantamento de reflexões.

Este guia prático ensina o passo-a-passo para a construção da Cortina Térmica Sustentável. Ela foi feita com material de descarte da merenda escolar, caixa de leite, e reutilizado para construir a cortina, que tem como função refletir a luz solar para fora da sala e amenizar o calor interno. Foi um resultado promissor e que resolveu um problema coletivo escolar e ambiental. Tem fácil replicação e com custo baixo. Ganhou premiação na MILSET BRASIL em Fortaleza e depois credencial internacional para se apresentar na Expo - Sciences International - ESI 2019, em Abu Dhabi, nos Emirados Árabes.Foi um produto Educacional resultante da pesquisa de mestrado da autora, Giselly Alencar, com Orientação da professora Valéria Sandra de Oliveira Costa e Patrícia Smith Cavalcante e com colaboração do professor Marcelo Cairrão Araujo Rodrigues - UFPE.

During this course, participants will learn how to center investigations of local scientific phenomena in a Next Generation Science Standards storyline. Course educators will offer instructional strategies and climate and community data to help teachers connect to the interests and identities of students and support understanding of the impacts of climate change. In collaboration with fellow teachers, participants will imagine possibilities for this kind of teaching and learning in their own classrooms through brainstorming possible phenomenon-based storylines local to their own students.

Through this lesson, students in 3rd-5th grade will understand how the human history of a local creek (Whatcom Creek in this example) affects the health of salmon populations. This lesson is an active way to engage students in graphing through the use of models and uses critical thinking to understand implications of human actions in the past and in the future.

"Opening the World through Journaling: Integrating Art, Science, and Language Arts" teaches children to become keen observers of the natural world by drawing and writing about the plants and animals in situ. In a set of nested exercises, students use games to gain confidence in drawing and writing as a way to gather information. Later, they employ these skills to put together a field guide, make treasure maps, and to write short stories and poems.

The following is a lab manual with three different activities to help students become more aware of bee's. The goal of Operation Bee is to educate students about the impact of bees in our everyday lives. Through observation, data collecting, and engineering students will engage in an effort to increase awareness and data available on bees.

Este caderno é um produto da pesquisa de mestrado da autora pelo programa de Mestrado Profissional em Ciências Ambientais – PROFICIAMB. Nele estão reunidos os elementos que constituíram o Quintal Agroecológico na Escola Municipal de Ensino Básico Carmine Botta, na cidade de São Carlos – SP, e as principais atividades práticas de Educação Ambiental (EA) para alunos do 5° ano do ensino fundamental. O objetivo é divulgar as atividades da pesquisa que permitiram ampliar os recursos didáticos e confirmar o potencial pedagógico do Quintal Agroecológico na Escola como um “laboratório ao ar livre” para o ensino de EA.

 This inquiry unit leads students through the different perspectives behind a decision to have a dam removed. This unit looks at similar Washington state dam removal decisions as well as the complex issue of having the Election dam removed near Puyallup, WA. Students will be introduced to the stories and traditional ways of knowing about salmon that the Puyallup Tribe has built their culture upon. Then they will explore the science behind hydroelectricity and build models to discover how carbon neutral energy is gathered through hydro dams. This inquiry unit ends with students researching different perspectives surrounding the current (2021) decision to remove the Electron dam including: the Tribe’s Fishery department, the ecosystem, the city council, the fishermen and the hydro-electrical company who currently owns the dam. With their research, students will do a socratic seminar to mimic the court case lawsuit that is ongoing against the Electron Dam.

In tal senso, la pubblicazione raccoglie sia una sezione di materiali di discussione critica sul percorso progettuale e sui primi esiti maturati, sia una ricca parte di contributi tematici offerti da referenti istituzionali, studiosi ed esperti, docenti accademici e ricercatori, professionisti e rappresentanti di organismi del Terzo settore Sono state così affrontate ed esaminate differenti tematiche e problematiche socio-culturali e socio-economiche, e prospettive e approcci metodologico-operativi tra loro affini e convergenti, che si sviluppano a cavallo delle politiche sociali, giovanili e culturali, della progettazione sociale e culturale, dell'innovazione sociale e della diversità culturale, in differenti contesti socio-territoriali siciliani e italiani, con una particolare attenzione per quelle iniziative che rappresentano casi paradigmatici in cui le istanze istituzionali, della ricerca, dell'educazione e della formazione si incontrano con le aspettative dei pubblici differenziati e, specialmente, delle giovani generazioni, anche sull'orizzonte della innovazione dell'occupazione giovanile.
