"Future Ready: Financial Literacy" is an educational resource that introduces the importance of financial literacy and provides an overview of key concepts such as savings accounts, types of interest, and financial planning. It aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions, manage money effectively, and build a secure financial future.

This lesson focuses on developing basic money management skills for adults. The specific time focus for these skills is on multiple months to years. The intended audience is for adults ages 18 and above.The lesson will include elements of reading and writing and listening, and will focus on authentic texts, videos, facts and figures cited from expert research and reports.This lesson will help learners comprehend different money management skills, and help them to understand how to apply them in a long term timeframe.These skills can be used in both a personal sense as well as for business.

How would you spend your dream vacation with a budget of $5,000? For this activity, students get to go on their dream vacation! They have to buy plane tickets and hotel rooms, find attractions to visit, explore new restaurants, and get out of their comfort zone and explore the world! Students will also have to budget all of their money, with the goal of getting as close to $5,000 as possible. Finally, students will organize their project using any resource they want (poster, powerpoint, etc.) and present their information to the class!

Save The Food! A Food Waste Prevention Teacher's Guide This resource provides five lesson plans and resources about preventing food waste. Wasted food costs money and harms the environment. This course explains basic concepts of food waste prevention and provides easy tips for students to follow. The content was adapted from the EPA’s “Food: Too Good to Waste” tool kit.The course was developed by Audrey Seligman, MPH, with assistance and consultation from George Schooley, M.A. TESOL. Funding for the course was provided by the Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy Board.
