In this activity, students will learn about cognates with a slideshow and play a cognate bingo game.

In this activity, students will be identifying French cognates in a French magazine article. They will also have the opportunity to practice their comprehension of cognates with bingo.

In this activity students will get to know their fellow students through simple introduction conversation. Using the bingo cards they will ask people open ended questions related to each image and fill out their chart with signatures.

To get started with the semester, students are going to introduce themselves. After a short introduction students are going to spend the rest of the lab getting to know each other

The students will have a selection of bingo rounds to practice katakana with. Start with bingo 1 to practice the basic characters and prepare the students for a more difficult game. Then go to bingo 2 which will be a more exciting game where students will practice full katakana words. If time permits, you can continue into a third round and circle different items. 

In this twist on traditional bingo, the game boards feature students' names, and students answer questions designed to help them learn more about one another when their names are called.

In this activity, students will be playing a traditional bingo-style game (Lotería) in which they will listen to vocabulary and interpret what the word is in English. After the instructor has completed reading the lotería cards for the first round, the students will also have the opportunity to practice reading the Spanish words aloud.
