In this assessment in a one-to-one setting, a student is shown the numbers from 1Đ10, one number at a time, in random order. The teacher asks, Ňwhat number is this?"

This assessment task can be used with a single student or a small group of students. Each student needs his or her own set of numeral cards.

This assessment may be used in a small group or whole group setting, give each student a piece of paper. Students who have trouble writing certain numbers can then get targeted practice.

The students will identify and compare attributes of two-dimensional and three- dimensional shapes in the world around them.

In this activity, kids will work on two fundamental early math skills – sorting/classifying, and graphing. There will also be some great fine motor skill practice! Includes place-based discussion questions, activity instructions, extension activities, songs, and student graph worksheets.

This is a third-grade lesson that can be used as a great review of their multiplication and division skills. This can also be an introduction to how multiplication and division are related and talking about inverse operations. 

In this lesson, students use the real-world application of insect monitoring to practice their fluency with addition and subtraction.

In this task students determine the number of hundreds, tens and ones that are necessary to write equations when some digits are provided. Students must, in some cases, decompose hundreds to tens and tens to ones.

The purpose of this task is for students to determine whether a set of objects (up to 20) has an odd or even number of elements. Students will also write an equation to express an even number as a sum of two equal addends and an odd number as a sum of two equal addends and 1.
