This module defines what case notes are, what purpose they serve and identifies best practices for writing good quality case notes. Anatomy and Physiology is a dynamic textbook for the two-semester human anatomy and physiology course for life science and allied health majors. This lesson is designed for fifth grade students. It focuses on the “big idea” that humans depend on, are shaped by, and affect the earth’s climate. Students will first take an in-depth look into the earth’s climate, the roles humans play in climate changes, and the impacts the changing climate will have on humans. Then, they will propose solutions to minimize the consequences of climate change on our earth and its people.

This lesson examines rectangular shapes and the relationship between their areas and perimeters. The goal is to provide students with the ability to measure these features, understand that perimeter and area have a relationship, and recognize and apply their new knowledge in real-life applications. This textbook has been designed to be an introductory training to the entry-level position, Physical Therapy Aide. As part of College of the Sequoias Physical Therapy Aide program, this textbook was used alongside hands-on lab training to train students to work as Physical Therapy Aides. It discusses some of the history and current context of Physical Therapy, provides instruction on common PT Aide job activities (like modalities and transfers), introduces general physiology, reviews commonly-used medical terminology, and, in an effort to embed necessary remediation for the PT Aide program, also includes effective career skills and habits, like business letter writing, resumes, effective communication skills, and appropriate workplace conduct.

This resource was designed for a beginning Spanish student, but its content can be useful (and adapted to) more advanced students.This online textbook is comprised entirely of free, open-educational resources which are available to anyone. These include SpanishDict.com, StudySpanish.com, The Spanish Experiment, YouTube and much more.The content is practical, authentic and engaging, but more importantly, it allows students to acquire much more than basic Spanish skills. It provides students with oppotunities to learn about Spanish, Latin and Hispanic culture and geography, as well as acquainting the students with Spanish as it is actually spoken in many different countries.The course is divided into 15 modules with each module centering around specific themes and grammatical structures. Even though grammar is essential to learning any language, in this course speaking the language, strategies for learning languages and culture are just as (or even more) important than extensive grammar drills.
