Subject: Language Arts

Topic: Answering Questions

Time: 9:30-10:45

 

Specific Objectives: Students should be able to:

·         Role play the story

·         Identify the different levels/types of questions

·         Answer questions based on a text read

 

Previous knowledge: Students should be familiar with the story

 

Teaching material: text, coloured chalk

Procedure:

·         Word study

·         Pupils will read the story and listen as it is read

·         Pupils will be given an opportunity to role play the story

·         Mini lesson on different types of questions

·         Pupils will read the questions aloud and identify what type of question it is

·         Pupils will answer the questions in their books after two are answered in a class setting.

Adjustments for struggling students:

·         Pupils will answer three or four questions with guidance.
