I love this lesson! I think it could be improved by providing some sort of manipulative for the students to use while solving the problem.

I don't see an technological interactive activities that go along with this lesson. Perhaps an interactive SmartBoard activity as a whole group and/or model would work.

I think a turn and talk with a partner discussing their answers with a different problem, similar to the one in the assessment, would be beneficial to promote working collaboratively.
