Students complete this activity first. Students listen to the song without watching. They listen for specific information to answer questions in English. They respond in English in order to demonstrate actual comprehension rather than simply listen for key words.
A self-assessment and reflection is included after the guiding questions. This reflection presents an opportunity for teachers and students to discuss proficiency.
Reading Activity
Students complete this activity after completing the listening activity. They further analyze the lyrics of the song and demonstrate their reading comprehension. Students respond in English in order to show comprehension.
